One dozen · brown eggs
From our Rhode Island Red hens, raised the Beyond Organic way right here on our family farm in Hilliard. They spend their days out on 20 acres of pasture eating grass and bugs, and supplemented with certified organic, non-GMO feed. Every egg is gathered by hand, so we know exactly where each one came from.
How we raise them
At night the hens roost in a mobile coop that sits up off the ground, where they stay dry and the predators can’t get to them. Every day we move that coop to fresh grass. Nothing gets sprayed on that pasture, synthetic or organic. We leave their beaks natural, the way they hatched. Every morning the eggs get washed, sanitized and straight into the fridge at 45°F or below.
Curious what Beyond Organic means around here? Here’s the whole story.
In the kitchen
They’re good for Sunday breakfast, for baking day, or for keeping a few hard-boiled in the fridge for the week.
